The system
- ADA-compliant slope and surface ratings
- Saw-cut control joints to manage cracking
- Integral color or scored pattern options
- Tie-in to existing driveway or building entry
What it costs
Priced on linear footage and width, plus demo of the existing walk, subgrade work, and any ADA slope or landing requirements. Permits on public frontage add time. We measure the run and quote it flat.
How long it takes
Two to five working days.
How long it lasts
25-40 years.
Where this fits
New residential sidewalk pours, sidewalk replacements, ADA-compliant commercial entry paths, courtyard walkways.
How a concrete sidewalks floor actually gets poured.

01 Walkthrough
Owner on site. Moisture test of the slab. Photos of existing cracks. Palette options walked in person. Proposal in your inbox next morning.

02 Diamond grind
Surface prep to CSP-3 profile, HEPA vacuum, rapid-set polyurea on crack lines, re-grind. Where every floor lives or dies.

03 Pour
Resin mixed on site, broadcast or swirled to match the system. Signature work happens here. Notched-trowel finish before the working window closes.

04 Topcoat
Polyaspartic or polyurethane within the resin chemical window. Walkable 24 hours, full traffic 72 hours. Written job spec before we leave.
Where we install concrete sidewalks.
We pour concrete sidewalks across all of our service areas: Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego County, Ventura County, Kern County, and Santa Barbara County. The system itself is the same across cities. Substrate prep adjusts to local concrete age and moisture conditions.
Orange County
Inland Empire & beyond
Three rules we do not break on a concrete sidewalks install.
Most of what separates a coating that lives 15 years from one that fails at year three is decided on prep day, before any resin gets mixed. Here is what we will not skip, regardless of project budget.

01. Calibrated moisture testing
Calcium chloride or relative-humidity sleeve test on every concrete sidewalks substrate before we order resin. If the vapor emission rate is above manufacturer spec, we apply a moisture-mitigation primer at our cost rather than gamble on the topcoat bond. Skipping this is the most common cause of the failed coatings we get called in to re-prep.

02. Diamond grind to spec
CSP-3 minimum for residential concrete sidewalks, CSP-4 for high-build commercial. Shot blasting and acid etching are cheaper shortcuts that fail the resin manufacturer’s adhesion spec. We grind, HEPA-vacuum, polyurea-fill every visible crack, and re-grind. The prep day is the day the floor lives or fails.

03. Spec sheet with the resin maker named
Every concrete sidewalks proposal we write names the resin manufacturer, the topcoat product, the substrate prep depth, the cure window, and the maintenance schedule. If a competitor’s proposal does not name these, you are buying on faith, not specs. Full liability and workers’ comp on every job.
Questions before the call.
What does concrete sidewalks cost in Los Angeles?
Residential pricing for concrete sidewalks in the Los Angeles market typically runs between the ranges quoted on our service pages, with the exact number determined by substrate condition, finish system, and square footage. Commercial pricing is always project-specific.
Square footage, crack repair and the finish system drive the number, which is why we look before we price. The walkthrough is free and runs about 30 minutes, and your fixed-price proposal lands in your inbox the next morning.
How long does concrete sidewalks take to install?
A standard residential pour runs two to three working days from prep to final topcoat. Larger residential or commercial pours can run four to fifteen days depending on system spec, substrate condition, and square footage.
You can walk on it 24 hours after the last coat of polyaspartic goes down. Give it 72 hours before vehicles or heavy equipment roll on it.
How long will my concrete sidewalks last?
The coating holds because it bonds chemically with the substrate. That is why the prep matters so much, and why a properly prepped residential floor is built for lifetime adhesion.
It depends mostly on how hard the floor gets used. A busy residential garage can go 8 to 12 years before its polyaspartic topcoat needs refreshing, and the base resin stays bonded the whole time. Commercial systems are spec’d for their traffic and chemistry, with 10 to 25 years typical on the resin layer.
Can you match a specific color?
Any color works in metallic epoxy, since the pigments mix across the full spectrum. Just-black and mother-of-pearl are both floors we have poured.
The pre-blended flake packs cover a lot of ground, and when they miss, we build a custom blend. Quartz runs 14 standard colors before custom mixing. Decorative concrete takes color two ways, integral during the pour or a topical stain post-cure.
How does the install process actually work?
Your part is mostly on day one, when we walk the space together and test the slab for moisture. After that the crew takes over: grinding to a CSP-3 profile and crack repair on day two, the pour and broadcast on day three, the polyaspartic topcoat on day four. You come back in for the final inspection and keep the written job spec we hand you.
What happens after the floor is poured?
Keep the written job spec we hand you at the final walk. If the gloss layer ever needs a refresh, that sheet tells us what is already on the floor.
Upkeep is a mop and a bucket of water. The topcoat carries the protection, so you never roll on sealer or schedule a yearly wax.
What makes Concrete 2 Coatings different from other contractors?
Look at a coating that failed early and you will usually find a prep step that got skipped. Ours does not change from job to job: diamond grinding to a CSP-3 profile, a HEPA vacuum pass, then a second grind, with the owner on site. Add licensing and training across resin, decorative concrete and structural work, which most LA shops never take on.
