Equipment Drive Lanes in Los Angeles.
Drive lanes engineered for the specific equipment running across them: forklifts, pallet jacks, sweeper-scrubbers, automated guided vehicles. Substrate thickness, joint pattern, and topcoat all spec’d to the equipment manufacturer’s loading specs.

The system
- Joint pattern engineered around vehicle wheel-spread
- Slip-rated transition zones at intersections
- Color-coded directional markings
- Joint-fill polyurea for control-joint maintenance
What it costs
Lane length, the weight of the equipment running on it, and how deep the prep goes. A lane carrying loaded forklifts needs a thicker build than a walk aisle. Priced in a fixed proposal after we measure.
How long it takes
Five to twelve working days.
How long it lasts
25+ years.
Where this fits
Warehouse drive lanes, distribution-center forklift paths, manufacturing-floor AGV routes, loading-dock approach lanes.
How a equipment drive lanes floor actually gets poured.

01 Walkthrough
Owner on site. Moisture test of the slab. Photos of existing cracks. Palette options walked in person. Proposal in your inbox next morning.

02 Diamond grind
Surface prep to CSP-3 profile, HEPA vacuum, rapid-set polyurea on crack lines, re-grind. Where every floor lives or dies.

03 Pour
Resin mixed on site, broadcast or swirled to match the system. Signature work happens here. Notched-trowel finish before the working window closes.

04 Topcoat
Polyaspartic or polyurethane within the resin chemical window. Walkable 24 hours, full traffic 72 hours. Written job spec before we leave.
Where we install equipment drive lanes.
We pour equipment drive lanes across all of our service areas: Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego County, Ventura County, Kern County, and Santa Barbara County. The system itself is the same across cities. Substrate prep adjusts to local concrete age and moisture conditions.

Three rules we do not break on a equipment drive lanes install.
Most of what separates a coating that lives 15 years from one that fails at year three is decided on prep day, before any resin gets mixed. Here is what we will not skip, regardless of project budget.

01. Calibrated moisture testing
Calcium chloride or relative-humidity sleeve test on every equipment drive lanes substrate before we order resin. If the vapor emission rate is above manufacturer spec, we apply a moisture-mitigation primer at our cost rather than gamble on the topcoat bond. Skipping this is the most common cause of the failed coatings we get called in to re-prep.

02. Diamond grind to spec
CSP-3 minimum for residential equipment drive lanes, CSP-4 for high-build commercial. Shot blasting and acid etching are cheaper shortcuts that fail the resin manufacturer’s adhesion spec. We grind, HEPA-vacuum, polyurea-fill every visible crack, and re-grind. The prep day is the day the floor lives or fails.

03. Spec sheet with the resin maker named
Every equipment drive lanes proposal we write names the resin manufacturer, the topcoat product, the substrate prep depth, the cure window, and the maintenance schedule. If a competitor’s proposal does not name these, you are buying on faith, not specs. Full liability and workers’ comp on every job.
Questions before the call.
What does equipment drive lanes cost in Los Angeles?
Residential pricing for equipment drive lanes in the Los Angeles market typically runs between the ranges quoted on our service pages, with the exact number determined by substrate condition, finish system, and square footage. Commercial pricing is always project-specific.
Square footage, crack repair and the finish system drive the number, which is why we look before we price. The walkthrough is free and runs about 30 minutes, and your fixed-price proposal lands in your inbox the next morning.
How long does equipment drive lanes take to install?
Two to three working days covers the usual residential job from prep to topcoat. Commercial floors can take four to fifteen days, depending on how big they are, what shape the slab is in, and the system they call for.
Vehicles and rolling loads stay off for 72 hours after the last coat. People can walk across the floor after the first 24.
How long will my equipment drive lanes last?
The base layer is meant to stay where we put it. Resinous systems form a chemical bond with the substrate, and a residential install is engineered to keep that adhesion for the life of the floor.
It depends mostly on how hard the floor gets used. A busy residential garage can go 8 to 12 years before its polyaspartic topcoat needs refreshing, and the base resin stays bonded the whole time. Commercial systems are spec’d for their traffic and chemistry, with 10 to 25 years typical on the resin layer.
Can you match a specific color?
With metallic epoxy, almost certainly. The pigments mix to any color, and past floors have included copper over bronze, ocean blue veined with charcoal, and plain black.
That depends on the floor system. A flake floor can be a stock pre-blended pack or a custom blend with no limit on combinations. Quartz has 14 standard colors and takes custom mixes. Concrete gets its color integrally in the pour or from a stain after it cures.
How does the install process actually work?
It ends with you and us on the floor together for a final inspection, and a written job spec in your hands before the crew leaves. Getting there takes four stages: the walkthrough and a moisture test, then diamond grinding to CSP-3 with any crack repair, then the pour and broadcast, and last the polyaspartic topcoat.
What happens after the floor is poured?
Most of what decides how the floor ages happened on prep day, before the pour. Once it cures, the floor mostly takes care of itself: the base resin stays bonded to the substrate for the life of the floor, and only the gloss layer on top ever gets a second visit from us.
Day to day it cleans with a damp mop, which is all the upkeep the system asks for. You will not be buying wax or booking a resealing crew.
What makes Concrete 2 Coatings different from other contractors?
We come out of a family of tradespeople and the union, with 20 years of trade experience behind the company. That is why we can coat a floor, pour decorative concrete and set a structural slab ourselves, where most LA shops stick to one. The owner is on site for every prep day, so the grinding gets done to spec.
