About the shop
A family of tradespeople.
Concrete 2 Coatings started at a kitchen table. Twenty years of union trade work, three trades under one license, and a shop on Walton Avenue that walks every job before it pours.
From union jobsite to your front door.

Concrete 2 Coatings is what happens when a union-trained craftsman walks off a twenty-year career and decides to put his name on every floor he pours.
The owner grew up in a family where everyone ran their own business. He worked the union for two decades pouring slabs, swinging trowels, finishing concrete, and learning the chemistry of resinous coatings before they were a residential thing. When he hung the shingle in 2021, he did it from a shop on Walton Avenue in Los Angeles with a single rule: he walks every job from the proposal to the handoff.
What started as a side-of-the-house epoxy crew grew into a four-trade shop because every job led to the next question. Could you also pour a slab? Could you stamp a patio? Could you do the office floor too? Twenty years of trade work made the answer easy. We could. So we built the shop to do it.
Today we pour within a hundred-mile radius of Walton Avenue. Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire, San Diego, Ventura, and the central coast through Santa Barbara. The crew is small on purpose. Every job is walked by the owner. Every prep is run by our team. Every spec is written, not implied.
What we will not do
We will not subcontract a job to a crew we do not know. We will not skip prep. We will not write a proposal that does not name the system, the substrate condition, the topcoat, and the timeline. We will not pour a finish we cannot stand behind in three years when you call us back about the next room.
Three trades, one license
Most LA contractors pick one lane. Resinous coatings, or decorative concrete, or structural slabs. We carry licensing and training across all three because every project tends to need at least two of them. The garage gets a metallic epoxy floor, the patio gets stamped concrete, the side yard gets a new sidewalk pour. One crew, one spec, one walkthrough.
What every job actually goes through.

Walkthrough
Owner on site. Moisture meter on the slab. Photos of existing cracks and joint conditions. Palette options walked in person.

Fixed-price proposal
In your inbox the next morning. Names the system, the substrate prep, the topcoat, the timeline, the maintenance schedule.

Prep day
Diamond grind to CSP-3 profile, HEPA vacuum, polyurea crack repair, re-grind. The day that decides whether the floor lives or fails.

Pour day
Resin mixed on site, broadcast or swirled, topcoat applied within the chemical window. Walkable in 24 hours.

Final inspection
Walk the floor with you. Hand you the written job spec before we leave. Photograph the finished work for our gallery.

Three-year follow-up
We call to check on the floor at year three. If the gloss needs a refresh, we schedule it. The base resin is yours for life.
Questions before the call.
Who actually shows up at my house?
The owner walks every first site visit. Our crew (a small team that has worked together for years, not a rotating subcontractor pool) handles the prep and the pour. The owner is back on site for the topcoat day and the final inspection.
How long has Concrete 2 Coatings been in business?
The brand was founded in 2021. The owner has been working in the concrete and coatings trade for twenty years, including twenty years of union-trained slab and finish work before opening the shop.
What makes Concrete 2 Coatings different from other contractors?
Three things, honestly. One, the owner walks every job and is on every prep day. We are not a franchise. Two, we are licensed and trained across resinous coatings AND decorative concrete AND structural slabs. Most LA shops pick one trade. Three, surface prep is non-negotiable: diamond-grind to CSP-3, HEPA-vacuum, re-grind. Most cosmetic failures trace back to skipped prep.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, licensed across resinous coatings, decorative concrete, and structural slab work in California. General liability and workers comp insurance carried on every job. Certificates available for commercial projects on request.
What happens after the floor is poured?
You deal with the same people after the pour that you dealt with before it. The owner walks every job, so if something about the finish looks off to you, that is who you talk to. The resin bonded to your slab stays where it is; the topcoat is the only layer that ever needs attention.
Day to day, the floor maintains with a damp mop. No waxing, no sealing, no annual service appointment. The system is engineered to live without us.
Why is it called Concrete 2 Coatings?
Because we work both sides of the trade. Concrete (slabs, decorative pours, structural work) and coatings (epoxy, polyaspartic, micro cement, polishing). Most contractors pick one. We were trained in both, so the name reflects both.
